Dorrie Joy is an artist, ceremonial leader, traditional craftswoman & internationally renowned drum maker. A mother of three and grandmother of two, her work is rooted in sustainability & intergenerational health & honouring.

This drum making day is a well held, safe & sacred space for mothers to support & witness their daughters birthing their drums as earthy companions of song, soul, body & rhythm.

We’ll be working with ethically sourced & hand prepared water buffalo skins. These make strong, warm tones with a deep gentle womb resonance. We’ll be working on 16” hand steamed ash frames. Each drum will be unique and personalised.

It’s a really nourishing way to spend memorable & meaningful time together.
