GREAT TEW ART CLUB
Creative activity is known to effect health and quality of life. The arts, creativity and the imagination help stimulate resilience, aid recovery and foster wellbeing. It has been scientifically proven that nature and art boost the immune system. Art is more than a subject, it is part of our existence, self-discovery and fulfilment.
Julia Fairrie Is a Waldorf Steiner teacher and passionate advocate for creative education. She started the Great Tew Primary School Art Club in 2016 from her garden shed.
Exploring a broad range of artistic techniques and mediums in a relaxed environment. Her aim is to give all children the opportunity to express themselves creatively and to inspire a love of art.
She has worked with artists including: Jemma Powell, Josephine Trotter and Lindy Alfrey to give special master classes.
